Bubble Cannon
Slide the bubble cannon along its rail and fire straight up. Match three colors to pop them, cut the one bubble holding a whole bunch to drop it, and play close to the bottom line for up to triple points — if you dare.
Controls
- Touch: press the board; mouse: hold the main button on the board
- The cannon jumps under your finger or pointer and a ghost bubble shows where the shot will stop; other mouse buttons do nothing
- Touch or mouse: slide left or right while pressing
- Moves the cannon lane by lane (15 lanes across the board)
- Touch or mouse: let go
- Fires the current bubble straight up the lane you picked
- Press and release again while a bubble is flying
- Prepares one more shot, which fires when the flying bubble lands; further releases replace that prepared shot with your latest lane
- Tap the glass Swap pod (next to the cannon rail)
- Swaps your current bubble with the next one — free, as often as you like
- ← → or A D
- Move the cannon one lane at a time; hold the key to keep sliding
- Space, ↑ or W
- Fire straight up
- ↓, S or Shift
- Swap the current and next bubble
- Esc or P
- Pause the run; the pile stops sinking until you resume
- Enter or R on the result screen
- Start another run in the same mode
How to play
ObjectiveScore as much as you can before any bubble in the sinking pile touches the line at the bottom — every run ends that way, so your target is beating your own best score.
Getting started
- Tap Play and start a Classic run. On your first run a hand shows the move, and the pile waits until your third shot lands.
- Look at the cannon: the bubble inside is your current shot, and the one in the glass pod beside it is your next shot.
- Press and slide until the ghost bubble sits against a bubble of the same color, then let go to fire.
- Three or more matching bubbles touching each other pop. Anything left hanging with no link to the top falls off and scores more.
- If the next bubble offers a useful match, tap the pod to swap it into the cannon. If neither fits, park a shot in a lane far from the bottom line.
- Keep an eye on the lowest bubble. As the pile reaches the yellow and pink zones, every shot is worth ×2 or ×3.
- The run ends the moment any bubble touches the bottom line. Read your score and the reason on the result screen, then tap Again.
Tips
- Aim for the single bubble a whole bunch hangs from: popping it drops everything below, and a 10-bubble drop is worth 550 before the multiplier.
- Hold back a big drop until the pile is in the yellow or pink zone — the same drop scores double or triple there.
- Before you dive into the pink zone, make sure one of your two bubbles matches the lowest lane; one stuck shot down there can end the run.
- Keep a key color in the next-bubble pod while you aim the other bubble at a safe lane. After firing, the key color moves into the cannon: use it for the drop, or swap it back into the pod before firing again.
- Check both side lanes every few shots. New rows come in across the full width, and runs often end in an edge lane nobody was watching.
FAQ
How do I play Bubble Cannon?
Slide the cannon to pick one of 15 lanes and let go to fire a bubble straight up. Three or more of one color touching each other pop, bubbles cut off from the top fall, and the run ends when the sinking pile touches the bottom line.
Is Bubble Cannon free, and do I need to install anything?
Yes, it is free and plays right in your browser with nothing to install. There are no purchases and no account to make; the game opens on its title screen and one tap on Play starts a run.
Can I play Bubble Cannon on my phone?
Yes. It is built for phones held upright: press with one finger, slide to a lane, let go to fire. Phones held sideways work too, and on a computer the same phone-shaped screen plays with a mouse or the keyboard.
Why does the cannon only shoot straight up?
Every shot travels straight up its lane, so the ghost bubble shows exactly where it will stop and there are no wall bounces to guess. To reach a color higher up, clear what is under it or move to a neighboring lane.
How do I get a high score in Bubble Cannon?
Make big drops instead of small pops, and make them low on the board. A drop of n bubbles scores 10 × n(n+1)/2, so 6 bubbles give 210 and 10 give 550, and the yellow and pink zones multiply that by 2 or 3.
Why did bubbles of a different color fall?
Any bubble that loses its connection to the top falls, whatever its color. Falling bubbles score more than popped ones, so cutting the one bubble a bunch hangs from is the strongest shot on the board.
Why did my run end when I wasn't shooting?
The pile sinks all the time and gets faster every 30 seconds, so waiting never keeps you safe. Left alone, a fresh Classic run reaches the line in under a minute; only pausing stops the pile, and switching to another tab or app pauses for you.
How do I unlock Rush mode and new cannons?
Collect stars. Each daily mission gives one star (three a day), and your first runs to 1,000, 3,000, 6,000, 10,000, 15,000 and 25,000 points give one each. Rush opens at 5 stars, and new cannons at 3, 8, 15, 25 and 40.
What is the Daily Stack?
The Daily Stack is a starting pile that changes once a day at midnight on your device. Every try that day starts from the same pile, so you can learn where its key bubbles sit and push your best for the day.
Is my progress saved, and can I play without internet?
Your best scores, stars, missions and cannons are saved in this browser on this device. Once the game has loaded it keeps working without a connection, but progress does not move to another browser or device.
